Located 5 miles northeast of Strongs Corner, the McNearney Cross-Country Ski Trail winds through hilly, forested countryside. To protect the trail from damage and provide a quiet experience, no motorized use is allowed on the groomed ski trail. There is also a warming hut with wood provided and a restroom.

When ya coming U.P.?

Birch Lodge is proud to announce the official opening of the Thurlow Bar. The Thurlow was originally the offices of the Lodge's Founder, Dr. Edgar Ford.. Later serving asmthe courthouse of Judge Charles C.W. Moore. The space was converted to a bar in 1945 by Lee and Marion Thurlow. Cliff and Anne Badgley operated the bar from 1952 until Cliffs passing in the early 1980's.

Current bar hours are 4-9 pm Wednesday-Saturday. New Years Eve we will be open at 6pm through midnight to ring in the New Year.
