Surcharging passes the credit card processing fee onto the member, ensuring your chapter/club/lodge receives the full dues amount for credit card transactions. Dear OLP Webmasters,

You had plans, we had plans. Our plans, along with everyone else’s on the planet, have changed due to the pandemic sweeping our globe. As our office is based in New York State, our lives have turned upside down in the past four weeks.

We are here to support you in these uncertain and unprecedented times. You may have already noticed that events in OLP have been cancelled based on the directives from your Grand Lodges. We will continue to work closely with your Grand Lodge as things change.

As part of the cancellation directions and to highlight any virtual events that have sprung up, we have hidden all cancelled events for the time being. This is a temporary measure and we will be making these cancelled events viewable for Webmasters in the coming weeks.

If you wish to create a virtual event for your lodge, simply note in the event title that the event is a “virtual”, “zoom”, or “online” meeting. To maintain communications with your lodge members at this time, we encourage you to do two things:
First, set up at least one virtual meeting a month. This will trigger the Weekly Masonic Updates.

Second, create “News” Posts - we are building an “announcement” feature for the News Posts as we write this email. These Posts will also be included in the Weekly Masonic Update emails on Saturday mornings. On the member manager side, we are actively building out communication tracking in Groupable: m2 so that officers can track any well-being checks in the member record, as well as future communications after this crisis is over.
