Our cabin is a short drive into downtown Truckee, and a short drive to the Lake. It also has a shuttle service for amenities within northstar, such as hot tubs, the ski slopes, restaurants and more!

Winter books up quickly, so be sure to book soon. Limited availability left December - March

Rafted the truckee river today with and had the absolute best time!

A rare sight!! RAIN in Tahoe in JULY??

When a beautiful little thunderstorm comes through, you have to just sit on the back deck or sit on the front deck and take it in 💦

Happy to be up here relaxing, working on a puzzle, chatting with friends.

Up a creek without a paddle?

Just booked a river rafting trip while I’m up at the cabin! Highly recommend or if you’re new to rafting. There is a also a way to float on the river using your own rafts. If choosing to BYO(float), I recommend a thick raft that will feel comfortable for a few hours. Either way 12/10 recommend a three hour float along the Truckee river during your summer vacation with us.

TAKE A HIKE!

Breath that mountain air, observe the flowers, meditate. There are so many hiking trails in Tahoe with some of our favorites being just down the street from our cabin.

This picture came from an impromptu five mile hike just the other day. Beginner level, so more of a walk, with wide trails and cell service the whole time (in case the posted trail maps are not enough)

This five mile loop took me about 2 hours. Who says you can’t take your conference call on the go or listen to an audiobook while enjoying nature.

Have little ones? This is a longer version of a similar hike. With little ones, I’d bring water, snacks and potentially do the 3 mile version. There are plenty of benches, tables and rest areas along the way. This trail could even accommodate a stroller or bike.

Not all who wander are lost ✨

Some are just enjoying the beautiful outdoors in Tahoe! This is part of the TMT trail at Northstar which offers miles and miles of beautiful trails to run, walk or bike.

Take some time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy a nice long walk in nature.

📍Sand Harbor

Dreaming of a sandy beach and crystal clear waters, but don’t want to cross an ocean to get there? Look no further than Sand Harbor State Park in Tahoe.

They have kayak rentals, a bar and grill, and an amazing team of lifeguards. (Seriously, we sat next to the lifeguard tower and I have never been so impressed, they are fiercely passionate about their job and I would seriously watch them as a television show). Word to the wise— if going out on a kayak or sup, bring a life jacket ❤️ which you can rent there too!

This place has it all for a day of fun in the sun.

Make sure to arrive early as the parking lot fills up fast on the weekend, but it’s sure worth it to spend a day on the east shore with no worries in the world.
