🐴 Cowgirl Up (Grades K–5) — Saturday, November 8
A one-day experience where girls meet gentle horses, learn grooming basics, and take their very first ride.

Halloween Hoedown at Camp Coleman

Get ready for a rootin’-tootin’ good time at our Halloween Hoedown at Camp Coleman! Join us for a festive fall celebration full of fun, laughter, and adventure in the great outdoors.
Hayride – Climb aboard the wagon for a scenic hayride through the beautiful camp trails, perfect for spotting fall leaves and a few fun surprises along the way!
Pumpkin Patch – Pick your perfect pumpkin from our very own pumpkin patch and decorate it to take home.
Craft Station – Let your creativity shine with a fun fall-themed craft you’ll love to show off.
Hike – Hit the trails for a kid-friendly nature hike to enjoy the crisp autumn air and the beauty of Camp Coleman in fall.
This event is perfect for Girl Scouts and families who want to enjoy a festive day of outdoor fun. Costumes are welcome—but leave the spooky stuff at home; this hoedown is all about happy harvest vibes!

Calling all nature enthusiasts! 🌿🦋 We’re excited to announce an all-new outdoors series designed especially for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes. Each day in the series offers girls the opportunity to earn a different badge while exploring the great outdoors and sampling classic summer camp activities such as canoeing and swimming. 🌲🛶 These programs will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a hot dog lunch cooked over the campfire. 🌭🔥

Girl Scout Ghost Squad is an adventurous troop of young explorers who combine curiosity, courage, and science to uncover the mysteries of the supernatural. While investigating haunted locations, these girls aren't just chasing ghosts—they’re learning real STEM skills. From using EMF detectors, digital thermometers, and spirit boxes to forming hypotheses and collecting data, the Ghost Squad applies the scientific method to every eerie encounter. With each mission, they build confidence, critical thinking, teamwork, and just the right amount of bravery to face the unknown.

Today, we honor the visionary who made it all possible — Gertrude Coleman, the inspiring founder of Camp Coleman, established exactly 100 years ago. ✨

A century ago, Gertrude dreamed of a place where young people could gather under open skies, connect with nature, build lifelong friendships, and grow into their best selves. What began as her dream has become a legacy — touching generations of campers, staff, and families.

From bonfires and bunk beds to song sessions and starry nights, Camp Coleman has been a home away from home for thousands. And it all started with one woman’s belief in the power of community, character, and courage.

Here’s to Gertrude Coleman — and to the next 100 years of laughter, learning, and love under the pines. 💙🌿
