Valle Verde Ranch

Valle Verde Ranch A hidden gem in Tubac, Arizona. Vacation rentals for travelers, birdwatchers, artists, history enthusiasts, and friends.

The Historic Valle Verde Ranch, constructed in 1936, sits within walking distance of the artist village of Tubac and the Tubac Presidio Historic State Park. A juxtaposition in time, the Ranch was preserved as the Tubac Barrio developed along its three sides. Nestled on six acres, this beautiful ranch offers two well-appointed individual guest units as well as the original three-bedroom adobe house

, a pool and hot tub. It's a perfect location for a friends shopping weekend, a business retreat or family reunion. Loved by artists and birders alike, the private four-acre mesquite bosque (forest) entices you to sit a spell on its handcrafted benches and take in the bird sounds and beauty around you. Travel to its edge, and you will be greeted by the historic Anza Trail that runs directly to Tubac or Tumacacori.

When climbing up to our roost, to either relax or watch birds in the canopy, keep your eyes out for it being occupied by others! We felt so honored to host this bobcat resting and napping all day yesterday!

Tubac Nature Center speaker series: Wed, April 8 , Tubac Community Center
Presentation: "The Geometry of Birding"

If birding is your lifelong passion, or even just an enjoyable hobby, you know that it grows with a stairstep progression of acquired skills. Sometimes you level out in ability and get frustrated. Peg Abbott of Naturalist Journeys presents a skill session aimed to help you with a new perspective. Within each bird there is a ruler or other tools related to shape that can help you unlock its ID. Learn how the basics of geometry – points, lines, angles, and planes – come together to create shapes. And how comparing the relative proportions of these shapes within a single bird, or between birds in a group or flock, can help you gain that next level to empower your birding skills and passion to grow.
