If you’ve stayed at Casa Linda recently, our excellent and committed cleaner Brittany has served you, and quite possibly her son Nemo has as well, as he joins mom sometimes to help or do homework. Or he used to. Nemo is facing the challenge of a debilitating and as of yet undiagnosed condition, and it’s taking a toll on him and his family. As someone who has been in a similar situation, my heart goes out to this young man. I was nearly devestated facing it in my 40s; I can’t imagine this experience as a child. If you are in a position and can help, I can absolutely vouch for this family and their need. And we can all send our prayers and well wishes their way.

Get ready for the 42nd El Tour de Tucson coming up on Nov. 22.
We are alerting everyone of the El Tour road closures and delays on Ride Day.
It’s important for those on the road to know what to expect and to try and avoid certain areas throughout the day.
El Tour begins in the Downtown area at 7 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m., with roads being closed at various times. Those times are listed on the list we’ve sent.
