Here are a couple of old stock LaBrea pieces we recently finished..
Aenocyon dirus jaw section in matrix with pieces of fossil wood and a beautiful Smilodon fatalis claw with intact sheath. But what is often overlooked amidst the spectacular carnivores and megafauna are the intricate, fragile things like the (as of yet unidentified) seed pod/flower in the last picture. Just came out of the asphalt like that!

Sad news today. Dr. Gordon Hubbell has passed away.
An awesome person who was loved and respected by many. He will be sorely missed. RIP my friend. 😢

Awesome and very rare fish Platysomus schultzei, from the upper Carboniferous / late Pennsylvanian Atrasado Formation, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
Fish is ~5.5” long, matrix measures ~13.5” x 6.5”.
