Not every horseback ride at Tanque Verde Ranch is the same kind of ride. Some mornings call for a Walk Ride, an easy hour through the desert after a quick primer on the basics, perfect if you're brand new to a saddle.

Other days you want the Lope Ride, where experienced riders get to open it up and canter across the land. And then there are evenings that call for a Sunset Ride, ninety minutes out as the light turns gold over the Rincons.
