The “Singing Wind Bookstore” in Benson was a uniquely wonderful place. Having visited on many occasions and found it bursting with an eclectic collection, it has an opportunity for life, once again.

There won’t be another Winn Bundy, however. Her choice to exchange career academia for ranching and books in the 1970’s made her and her bookstore fascinating. Listen for four minutes.

Chris Bubany Artist Gallery looks for beauty in every medium. This Saturday, 10-3, at her gallery, she showcases emerging local artists.

Chris has been a personal friend since 1994 and her work is in evidence at the Jeremiah Inn. I’m so happy to own some treasures she’s created and now she’s using her venue to promote others!

The Chris Bubany Emerging Artists Show is next Saturday! This is your opportunity to meet new glass and mosaic artists and see their work. You will have the opportunity to purchase from these students and teachers and help support local artists. Look for the white tents in front of the gallery.

Expect Road Closures in Saguaro National Park (West) on Wednesday, Oct. 13 for Film Production

Saguaro National Park (West) –a film permit has been issued for Wednesday, October 13 to film on roadways between Saguaro National Park (west) and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. The filming will cause road closures and parking restrictions along North Kinney Road and West Mile Wide Road. The filming will take place from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.. The project will involve precision driving and sections of the roadways will be secured for the safety of the public.

Visitors looking to access the Red Hills Visitor Center at Saguaro National Park please use N. Sandario Road to Kinney Road. Access to the Arizona Desert Museum will only be available from Gates Pass Road or S. Kinney Road.

The public should be aware that this area will completely closed off during the time of setup and filming. Please be aware that you may be turned away at the road closure until 7pm.

This closure notice includes all traffic, including pedestrians and bicyclists.
