Blaze-In-Saddle RV Park

Today is the last day of our wonderful journey as the owners of the Blaze-in-Saddle RV Park in Tucumcari, New Mexico.

We have owned and operated this park for the past 4-1/2 years and have truly enjoyed taking our “mom and pop” park to the next level.

We have had a lot of fun meeting and sharing so many unique stories and RV-ing experiences with our guests who have walked through our doors. We are so thankful for all of the positive comments, reviews and people who choose to come back to our unique little RV Park again and again!

Without you, we could not have been able to make our park what it is today! We are very proud of what we have accomplished to make Blaze in Saddle a desirable place to stay along Route 66.

We also send special thanks to all the great people in town who welcomed us “outsiders“ and befriended us during our time in Tucumcari. It’s a great feeling to walk into our local places and be met with friendly smiles and friendship. We are truly thankful for the camaraderie!
We will miss that - and you!

We are confident the success will continue with the new owners, the Fentons. They are really excited to take over Blaze-in-Saddle and to continue the great progress and make it their own.

So, what’s next for us?

We are planning to travel and explore the Western US in our Flagstaff travel trailer with our golden retriever, Bowden.

Once the winter weather gets too extreme for us (as we are native Floridians), we will then head back to the Eastern US where we will once again be closer to our 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

And, if it’s destined to be, we may repeat our success with another RV Park!

We don’t know where we’ll “land” to start our new journey but we’re considering anywhere between Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee or Alabama.

Ah, the nostalgic things we see on Route 66 in Tucumcari!

Four vintage tractors just stopped- presumably to put on rain gear - at the historical signs across from our park.

They’re really big up close and they can go pretty fast!

In addition to a full park tonight, we also have one gorgeous draft horse in our Horse Motel. He was a little cheeky!

When you go to "Check-out" in CAMPSPOT, you will see the site and dates you're reserving. Just below is a GREEN link "Enter Promo Code". Please click on it and then enter your code in the Promo Code in ALL CAPS in that box. You will then see your applied discount.
