I am the pool owner Richard Phillips. The pool was closed so that we could address the issue with who would be using it going forward. I have been allowing the local community to use this pool for the last 20 years. The pool was originally put in for use by the RV park customers. Over the past few years it has created numerous problems in the fact that it was not originally set up for the general public. I am not blaming any one individual for this problem but this just brought it to a head. I as a pool owner have the right to close it down anytime I want and for any reason I want. I am at a crossroads here where I can either refuse to let anybody from the general public use the pool or revamp our policy to address the issues that have come up. When I have other people who were using the pool come up and complain about the situation I have the obligation to address it. I’m sorry that the manner in which I handled it offended some. For anyone in the local community who feels like they would like to continue using the pool they can come see me to discuss. For those who are staying in the RV Park, the pool is currently open.
