Once upon a time at the Twin Lakes Inn there was no Labor Day.
How could that be? Well, when our first guests began enjoying the Inn's accommodations in 1879, Labor Day wasn't yet a national holiday. It would be about another decade and a half before the first Monday in September became a national holiday. Guests are still making history here. We hope you can join us for brunch this weekend. Enjoy chef-made, delicious dishes from 7:30-12:30 inside the Inn. Service continues on our patio with the Inn's full bar plus hand-crafted pizza options from Indy Pass Pies through the afternoon and early evening. Be sure to also visit Bob and Motu next door at the Twin Lakes General Store. Shooting Star Gallery behind the Inn is also open featuring the work of area artisans. There's also Roadhouse Twin Lakes, Percolated Peaks, Twin Lakes Adventures plus the lakes, peaks and trails ready for your adventures. A special shoutout to our amazing staff, too. Cheering and crewing athletes takes energy, too. That's why you need to fuel up this Saturday inside the Inn AND on our large outdoor patio. The race course travels 5th Street in the Village, directly between the Twin Lakes Inn and the Twin Lakes General Store and also in front of our neighbors at Shooting Star Gallery. In place of our regular brunch, you're invited to enjoy our special LT100 menus for breakfast food and drinks, plus the patio food and beverage services will open around 11 AM.

Remember that music by is scheduled from Noon until 2. Patio and full bar service will remain open, based on demand, until about 7PM. All of Twin Lakes Village is ready to welcome you. Theoretic performs in Twin Lakes this Saturday! The Denver-based indie/alt foursome, including Twin Lakes own TJ Wethington, bring just the right sound to inspire runners and fans for this weekend's Race Across The Sky (aka Leadville 100 Run). Come join TJ, with bandmates Chris Herr, Brennan McLaren and Alex Hartman, at the Twin Lakes Inn. IndyPassPies and EatAtPunkys along with the Twin Lakes Inn have prepared special food and beverage options for the cheering fans and hard-working race crews.

If you've never witnessed this event, Twin Lakes is a favorite fan viewing area because of where our historic village is located on the course. This portion of the course, which is at about 40 miles on the outbound and 64 miles on the inbound is where runners begin and end not one but TWO climbs over 12,500' Hope Pass. Whew! Plus, Twin Lakes is one of the best spots to watch the bulk of competitors to weave their way back from completing Hope Pass in the dark with their headlamps letting you follow their progress. Outbound runners have to reach Twin Lakes aid station by 2:15 Saturday afternoon (just after the music ends) and must return on the inbound leg by 11 PM.

Are you traveling through Twin Lakes this weekend? Please be advised that traffic will frequently be halted to yield to runners as they cross Hwy 82 and follow the race course between the Twin Lakes General Store and the Twin Lakes Inn. Visitors should also be aware that parking is strictly controlled for the entire village until after the last runners reach Twin Lakes very late on Saturday night. Sure, our quiet outpost won't be as quiet this weekend but you're sure to enjoy being part of this annual ultra-event celebration.

Just weeks from now nature's mash-up of green and gold arrives in Twin Lakes, one of Colorado's fave fall spots. Every where you look, you're part of the canvas, surrounded by the seasonal colors under bright blue skies and star-filled nights. It's magical, and the Twin Lakes Inn is at the center of it all. Of course, Twin Lakes is also the place to be for amazing human feats, too. Again this year, Twin Lakes will cheer-on competitors in the annual LT100 MTB and LT100 RUN (Race Across The Sky) ultra-endurance events. By day, he's the Administrator of Awesome at his job. How can you not want to hear singer-songwriter Matt Bauerle (aka ) perform this Saturday night at the Twin Lakes Inn. Matt comes by his down-south influences honestly, growing up in Charleston SC. Now based in Colorado (BV, specifically), he'll be bending strings and belting tunes for you while you enjoy the Inn's full bar and good eats from IndyPassPies and EatAtPunky's.

The weather this weekend looks ideal. Afternoon temps in the 70s, all trails, lakes and Indy Pass are open. We're serving chef-made brunch from 7:30-12:30, followed by afternoon and evening food and drinks from our bar and patio purveyors.

Make a full day of it by including stops at the Twin Lakes General Store, Shooting Star Gallery, Twin Lakes Roadhouse, Twin Lakes Coffee, SUP & Cycle, Twin Lakes Advnetures and more. August kicks off this weekend and it's expected to be a beauty in Twin Lakes (but then, when isn't it, right?). August happens to be one of the busiest months. Next weekend will be Bloom Days (the Twin Lakes version of Leadville's Boom Days). The weekend after that it's the Leadville 100 MTB race. One week later the Race Across the Sky returns to Twin Lakes as the ultra-endurance runners come through the Village not once but twice over the course of the Sat-Sun event. Plus, the South Elbert trail has re-opened and folks are biking, paddling and peak bagging every where you look. I'm out of breath just thinking about it!

Our chef-made brunch is open to the public daily from 7:30-12:30. Of course, all paid lodging guests have their brunch included in their room booking. Our patio is also open every afternoon, featuring our full bar plus good eatin' from and .

Michael Lille brings his award-winning guitar and vocal skills to the Twin Lakes Inn for one night, this Saturday, July 25 from 6-8 PM. Michael shaped his music and lyrics over many years while embracing being on the road. He's originally from Virginia, he could be counted among the 1,352 'pickers' in Nashville for a good while, and lately he's been hanging around parts of Colorado. For one night, this Saturday, he's in Twin Lakes. You won't want to miss this chance to enjoy Michael's music in such an intimate setting like Twin Lakes Inn.

Of course, you can get good food from and from the patio along with your favorite liquid refreshments from the Inn's full bar (ID req'd). Michael will take his place in our dining room and there's plenty of open seating in the dining room and bar as well as on the patio (weather permitting).
