Ahhh, every time at the cottage is ‘the best time!’ Want to share some common questions we’ve been asked in case they’re helpful to you, too:

- Can you hear Lake Superior with the windows open?
YES! Even with the windows closed sometimes, depends on the lake conditions.

- Can we consider a reservation that exceeds our max guest count?
We’ve set it for what the cottage can comfortably accommodate. Now, if you’ve stayed previously and were an awesome guest, please reach-out, as we’d love to get to welcome you back!

- What level are the bedrooms and bathroom on?
Two bedrooms on main level, along with the bathroom, and one bedroom on the second/upper level.

- Do you charge extra for dogs?
We want doggos at the cottage, they’re family, too! Because of that, two (2) dogs are included, no additional charge. If you have more, let’s chat.

- What are the beach conditions?
We can predict that as much as we can predict the weather. It can vary from large boulders to fine sand, and have both in the same day! All depends on the mood of Lake Superior, but we can promise you that it’s all 100% enjoyable and beautiful!

DEER everywhere! 🤎 Trios, pairs, and consistent visits at all times of day. We strolled the woods and there were bedding areas all over, too. They’re so fun to watch and they’ve now discovered the bird feeders, rearing-up to gain more seed, soon licking the suet, certainly, which was really awesome to see. Norman is very reactive to them and boisterous, while Vivienne silently, almost calculatingly, observes. Is your dog a fan of deer? 🐾🦌

Happy 2026! We're grateful for the chance to unwind next to Lake Superior and hope you, too, had a fantastic holiday season; recap in slides. As we begin this new year, we're feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after slowing down, enjoying quality time together, and with our dogs, Norman and Vivienne, plus sweet foster pup August. It's a balance between exploring about and embracing stillness, this break was just what we needed to reset. We’re ready to dive into the year ahead and wish you all the very best!

Last weekend at the cottage in review! Still absolutely in love with the custom corbels that Tony created; they’re beautiful and just perfect. The sky and Lake Superior never disappoint; add the dogs and it’s heaven on earth. The only sad thing about being there is having to leave. Happy Friday, have a great weekend! 🦌🐾🌅

A stunner of a sunrise and the doggos whose parents kindly captured it! Do you have a preference on your favorite sky? Supposedly sunrises are more subdued, but I find at the cottage they’re far more bold and dramatic vs the subdued, pastel rainbow pallet of a sunset. Thanks to our recent guests Sarah and Aaron for sharing! 👏🐾
