But this is a big milestone for the transformation at Cool City Motel.

All 28 of our new exterior doors have arrived!

They are now being professionally sprayed before our subcontractor can begin installing them. Once the doors are installed, our new key card entry system provider will be able to schedule on-site installation of the software and complete staff training on the new system.

Our new vinyl lettering is up on the office door, and we love how clean and welcoming it looks! It’s the little touches like this that continue to bring our vision to life.

A big thank you to Signs Plus for the quality work and attention to detail - we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

From what we bought → what it’s becoming

The new office door has been installed, and it’s already completely transformed this space and we just couldn't keep this transformation to ourselves!

We still have some landscaping to do and the new driveway is planned for this spring/summer which will completely transform the exterior.

Office update: We’re in the final stretch! We’re just waiting on the countertop, our custom sign for the sitting area, and a few finishing touches to complete the space. It’s been a productive weekend, and we’re excited to see it all come together. A special shout out to my husband for his amazing work and always bringing my vision to life!

If you’ve been following along, you know we’ve been through a lot of paint 😀

A big shoutout to Jason and his team at Hallman Lindsay Paints for all of their help. From primers to paint to wood stains, they’ve been our go-to for everything interior and exterior at the motel.

We are getting very close to finishing our new office space. Stay tuned to see how it all comes together 🙌

5.5 rooms demoed and counting 👏

We’re officially in the exciting phase -stripping everything down so we can rebuild with intention and purpose.

What you see now may look like dust and debris… but we see fresh design, modern comfort, and the next chapter for Cool City Motel.

While renovations continue, we remain open and dedicated to making sure every guest staying with us feels comfortable and well taken care of.

The best part? You’ll get to watch it all happen!
