We are sad to announce that after 18 years in business as a tent campground Blackberry Blossom is closing the campground due to some health issues.
Ed & I have loved meeting all of our campers and so many have become like family.
We are still open for Herbalachia Herb School and other groups that use Blackberry Blossom as a home base, and you can still enjoy the farm by renting the Vintage camper, Nellie Belle, on Airbnb. We may also do special days which we’ll announce on our social media, so keep us in your feed and hope to see our friends and family as often as possible. Happy Camping to everyone!

Last Fall after the campground closed for the season, we said sad goodbyes to our longtime renters at Blackberry Cottage, Tess & Ryan, and our campground manager Mat Cash. We wish them well as they move on with their lives but also thank them for the help and support this past year.
We love our Cash Family, Mat and his sister Megan, our children from another mother. We love their Mama Debbie, and Grandma & Granddad, our Virginia family.
We miss Mat but know he and his family will always be our family forever.💕

This 2025 camping season we hosted an incredible group, the Recover with Nature Program, led by Dr. Bethany Novotny and Adam Robbins.

Dr. Novotny (PI and co-facilitator of Recover with Nature) is an Associate Professor at ETSU in the Department of Counseling and Human Services. Adam Robbins (co-facilitator of Recover with Nature) is a licensed counselor currently working at Summit Counseling in Johnson City.

There were 76 participants this year, each having the opportunity to deepen their unique relationship with the natural world, in order to support their healing and recovery journey.

One participant’s heartfelt response: “Thank you for helping us find what we didn’t fully know we were looking for!”

We look forward to hosting them again in spring 2026!

Congratulations to our winner of June’s Blackberry Blossom Fairy House contest, Finley! Finley is six years old and from Roan Mountain, and included a story with her entry:

“Finley Fairy is taking a walk in the woods. She sees a nice spot and builds a home. She made a tall and cute house for her and her fairy family. She used dead grass, sticks, and flowers. She was inspired to live there because she loves the forest, and didnt really like city apartments. Her house is in this very campground today.”

Also pictured are some of our other beautiful entries- great job everyone, thank you for your participation! 🧚✨

Congratulations, Finley! You’ve won a free night camping with your family at Blackberry Blossom! 🏕️

Our summer 2025 fairy house contest is still going on for all of our registered guests- Book today (link in bio) for a chance to win now through September, with a grand prize of a $50 gift certificate in October!
