And good things are HERE! These times bring on so much reflection about how things were and how much I appreciate the NOW now. I gather up all the joy and am ready to take what comes next. I am choosing to believe that good things are coming. Can't wait to share how we have taken this downtime at the retreat and looked for colorful ways to spread happiness.

To all the women who fought for my voice, my right to vote, my place in society, I am eternally grateful... Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. As is with so many home remodels, there are twists and turns, but, in the end the southern chic retreat has a fresh new exterior. My favorite thing's are the doors are all pink.

Never seen it and wonder what all the fuss is about?
Me, I'm a first episode, from the beginning watcher who missed last season and apparently missed a doozie of a season.
But the bachelor always welcomes you back with open arms and red rose.

In fact, she is still front and center in the refreshed dining room. I wanted a way to highlight her even more and the muted greyBuffalo check feature wall does the trick. And I painted the buffet pink!⠀ Love how the retreat allows for this whimsy. ⠀ ⠀

Here's a tip, got a piece of art that doesn't quite work? Paint over, and make it fit your style. Bessie was originally bold red blue and yellow. I repainted her soft pastels and she’s perfect!⠀

Feeling as free as a bird! This was one of my favorite rooms to decorate. I love black and pink together; throw in buffalo check and monogrammed pillows and you have our "birds of a feather" room.

As we approach our 5th year we are still making big changes at the retreat to keep it fresh and fun. You all have been so loyal to the southern chic retreat and we want you to keep coming back.
