This has been one of the hardest years yet for The Comet Theater, Coffee Shop & Boutique — for so many reasons. And financially, we have to be honest: we are struggling.
We truly believe we are still feeling the effects of the flood, and the road to recovery has been much longer and harder than we ever anticipated. We love this little business, our community, our customers, and everything we’ve built here — and we want so badly to keep going.

And this part is especially important: if people don’t come out to see movies, we simply won’t be able to continue showing them. We want The Comet to remain a place where our community can gather, grab some popcorn, watch a great movie and enjoy an experience that you can’t get anywhere else — but we need people in those seats to make that possible.
Every coffee, every purchase, every movie ticket, every scoop of ice cream — it all adds up. And right now, those small purchases make a very real difference to us.
We know there are countless places you can spend your money, and we never take it for granted when you choose to spend it here. Your support helps us keep the doors open, keep our staff working, keep our theater running, and keep The Comet a part of this community.
