What do y'all think of the old homestead's new colors?

Good morning friends and happy Sunday! We are taking it slow today as our bodies feel so beat up and broken! The realtor's walk-through with Jon yesterday went well! She documented all of the repairs (some of which weren't repairs, just instructions on how to turn on the furnace, etc..) and took photos and videos. Then she emailed both attorneys, the other realtor and buyers and told them we're ready to close. She did, however, suggest we remove a clawfoot tub we have in the yard as "yard art" (one of my unfinished Pinterest projects) so a sweet friend will be picking that up. We're heading to the house to pick up our tools and do OUR final walk-through and make sure everything looks patty-perfect. Then we need to say our final "goodbyes" to the pets we have buried out back and to the house we have called "home" for 11 years, 3 months and 2 days. Just typing this has me in tears. I know it's the right thing to do. WE NEED THIS CHANGE. But my heart will never forget the love we felt living in SERENDIPITY HAUS. 😢💔

Our chickens have gone for processing. Nothing tastes like homegrown chicken! These should last us 2 years!

Our houseplants have all been moved outside and are thriving! So much so, that Jon had to thin out and replant our huge lily and mother-in-law's tongue. I just love Spring in Western NY!

Happy 8 year Anniversary, Serendipity Haus!
Wow! I cannot believe that we have lived in our dream home for 8 years today! I'll never forget the hoops we had to jump through to get the mortgage, the AZ tenants from hell and my first winter here with a broken furnace and a torn up kitchen. Over the course of the 8 years I had 7 surgeries, 5 of them on my spine. Poor Jon has been running around like crazy trying to do everything himself. He STILL won't let me sweep or w**d whack. So, old Serendipity Haus is looking kind of haggard. Our intentions are good even if our bodies may not be! Lol! I promise to get an 8 year video together soon. It's just hard for me to sit up at the desk for too long.
We love you, western NY!!!

We survived our first year in Western New York! Hallelujah! Not bad for these Arizona transplants! (Let's just pray for a milder winter this year, ok?)
