As part of the Town of Vail's efforts to continue offering world-class dining experiences while providing ample space between diners, many restaurants have expanded to heated outdoor spaces. Alpenrose took that a step further and installed 4 gondola cars in the square behind their restaurant, outfitted with comfy seats, chandeliers, blankets, and rounded it all out with a pre fixe menu.

$99 per person, gondolas can accommodate up to 6 people. Reservations and a 50% deposit are required and can only be made by phone.

Just in time for Christmas week, two back bowls have been opened up for skiing and riding!

Sun Up Bowl and Sun Down Bowl opened for the season at Vail Mountain on Saturday, with more terrain openings continuing at both Vail and Beaver Creek.

Vail expanded its open terrain to 785 acres on Saturday with the opening of several lifts. A storm which began delivering snow to the valley early Friday morning still had not stopped as of Saturday evening, with nearly a foot of snow in total recorded on Vail Mountain.
