A 66-year-old Braden­ton resident had his leg amputated on Nov. 11 after coming in contact with flesh-eating bacteria (vibrio vulnificus).

From the Venice pier, to the iconic jetties being obliterated, the coastline od Venice is drastically changed after Hurricane Milton. Some condos are buried up to their roofs in sand and debrus. High rises were inundated with sand filling first floors, damaging pools, decks and recreational areas. Water is dark and murky, and the appearance of Red Tide is now confirmed, which eliminates access to the beaches and creates respiratory issues.

Severe Red Tide outbreak is inundating Venice after Hurricane Milton. The largest bloom being 70 miles long and 30 miles wide is now sending dead fish into inland waters and now appearing at beaches. This is very similar to the huge outbreak in 2017 which lasted a year.

A huge Sargassum seaweed mass is headed towards the US and Gulf coasts which can be seen from space. Measurements say it is 2Xs the width of the United States, and will choke out sun and vegetation killing fish and emitting hydrogen sulfide killing fish and causing major breathing problems. With Red Tide already impacting the area killing off millions of fish which are rotting on West Coast beaches, this is not a dream vacation for visitors to Sarasota and Venice beaches
