Harborween lands on the resort Sunday, October 11th, bringing live tunes, a mini market, seasonal eats, hayrides, kids' activities, and plenty of Oktoberfest beers for the adults. For late night, grab the costume and attend the Harborween Costume Contest at The Red Mill!

With no school on Monday, there’s zero reason to rush home when you can wake up right on Lake Champlain. Grab your room for the weekend and bring the whole crew down!

Forget everything you thought you knew about Vermont w**e. She’s having a glow-up.

On October 10, Ardelia’s is hosting a 5-course Harvest W**e Dinner featuring 6 Vermont w**e pairings, because apparently fall on Lake Champlain wasn’t already showing off enough.

Think cozy, intimate, a little fancy without taking itself too seriously—and very much the kind of evening we love creating at Basin Harbor.

Welcome pour at 5:30 PM, first course at 6:00 PM. Come for the w**e, stay for the views, and leave with a new appreciation for what Vermont is pouring.

Well, that escalated beautifully. 🍂

A few weeks ago we were still jumping in the lake, and now the trees are showing off, the fires are lit, and HarborWeen season is officially underway.

Fall at Basin Harbor is short, colorful, and very good at making you want to stay “just one more night.”

And there’s plenty more ahead, including HarborWeen celebrations and our October 11 HarborWeen Festival.

If you’ve spent time at Basin Harbor, chances are you’ve walked through one of Don Gould’s works of art.
For decades, Don has left his mark on the property through the handcrafted folk art doors found throughout Basin Harbor. He estimates he created nearly 20 of them here, each designed and built by hand with careful attention to both beauty and function.
And these weren’t simply decorative. Don built them to last. Decades later, many remain in place—intricate spindles, detailed woodwork and all.
“I knew it was special when I was doing it. I hadn’t ever seen it before. It was new.”
Don went on to create approximately 375 of these distinctive doors throughout his career, but we’re especially grateful that so many are part of the landscape and story of Basin Harbor.

The sweaters can come out, the c***r donuts can officially count as breakfast, and HarborWeen is almost here.
Beginning Sunday, September 27, expect pumpkin carving, campfires, seasonal treats, and plenty of reasons to love autumn on Lake Champlain.
