It’s Always a Good Time to Visit Our Parks 🌿
While the recent free admission weekend celebrating George Washington’s Birthday and America’s 250th has come and gone, the beauty, history, and natural treasures here in Sebastian and Indian River County are still waiting for you.
Right here at home, we’re blessed with incredible places like:
🌊 Sebastian Inlet State Park — where the Atlantic meets the Indian River Lagoon and generations have fished, surfed, and explored.
🦅 Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge — America’s first National Wildlife Refuge, protecting the very waters and wildlife that define our community.
These aren’t just beautiful destinations — they are living pieces of Florida’s story and vital habitats that protect wildlife, preserve our lagoon, and safeguard the natural character of our area.
And the best part? Regular day-use admission is only a small fee, just a few dollars per vehicle, a tiny investment compared to the miles of shoreline, wildlife habitat, fishing spots, scenic views, and peaceful moments it helps support and protect.
Every visit helps maintain trails, protect habitats, and preserve the places that make Sebastian and Indian River County so special.
So even though the free weekend is over, the invitation remains. Pack a picnic. Bring a friend. Watch a sunrise. Walk a trail. Support the parks that support our community. 🌅
Because around here, every day is a good day to visit our parks.
