Very sad to see our historic cottage setting destroyed. Of course new owners have every right. But if we knew they were going to trash that historic bar, we would have saved it. 🥲

We are sad to report the passing of one of our former employees and dear friend Danny Cifonelli. Danny and his family have been in business at the beach forever. His parent Dan and Lynn are the proprietors of The Pancake House and his grandfather and uncle, Joe and Gary Rizzo have had What’s The Scoop for many years. Danny was a gentle soul, a dedicated worker, put a smile on everyone’s face that he came in contact with and was an important member of the Anchor Light team.
We grieve for his family and extend them our heartfelt condolences.

Well, it’s official. We are for sale! We want to thank all our friends for their incredible support over the last 6 years. It was a heart wrenching decision but with the uncertainty over the COVID closings and the loss of our mom, it’s just too hard to continue.
We are hoping that someone will want to continue the Anchor Light tradition but in the end, if not, we will still have wonderful memories!

We’ve been getting a lot of calls and requests for takeout. While we appreciate everyone thinking about us, we have decided to not open for takeout. Instead we’re gonna let our friends at the beach that were already open handle the take out needs of our community. We hope everyone is doing well and hopefully we may see some of you this summer!

It seems lately all we do is post about loss. We lost a dear friend today. Leslie Stewart passed after a valiant and inspiring battle against cancer. We send our deep condolences to her family Eddie, Rick, Allison and the entire Eddie’s family. Leslie was whip smart, had a great sense of what is important in life and knew who she was. Her friends were inspired by her grace and dignity while facing an impossible diagnosis. She stood up to the beast like the true warrior she is! And, in doing that, gave strength to survivors of this dread illness. She will always be in our hearts and can smile on us from the kingdom that she truly inherited. ❤️
