Happy âStrong Sunâ Full Moon on the cusp of the Summer Solstice when the sun is at its highest place of the year. The Summer Solstice is usually celebrated AFTER our seasonal planting is done. All our seeds & plants are in as we give thanks to the warm, long sunny days as well as the rain that will nourish & make them flourish. Today thru Thursday our days in Maine are 15 hours, 17 seconds. Friday, the actual Solstice, is 15 hours, 18 seconds. Saturday thru Tuesday, back to 15 hours, 17 seconds. (You know what happens next!) Where youâll start to notice the shortening is in the mornings as it gets lighter later one minute at a time while our sun sets steadily at 8:25 until July 4th! So pause for a few hours this week, rest, put work aside, and savor these long days & warm starry nights. Youâve done the best you can. Now step back and enjoy Summertime for a whileâŚ
