Dear Friends,

We're writing to let you know that Osceola Mill has been sold to Chris and Katherine Drummond, a wonderful family who will look after the mill going forward. The transition will take place on September 30th.

Rooted and Reclaimed, Inc was founded in 2026 by Chris and Katherine Drummond. Chris has 20 years of operations leadership experience across several industries, including commercial flour milling. Katherine is an artist and educator, specializing in ceramics and experiential education. They have combined their talents to reclaim life and take on this adventure in hospitality together. Chris is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina and Katherine is a native of Strasburg, in the Shenandoah Valley. While they have lived in the western US most recently, they are returning to their roots and moved to Vesuvius with their daughters Aspen and Bryn. The Drummonds will live on the property as full-time innkeepers.

It is bittersweet to say goodbye, but we're glad the mill is going to people who care about it as much as we do.

Thank you to all of our guests and to the Vesuvius community for your warmth and support over the years. We'll always cherish our time at the mill and are grateful to have been part of its long history.

Please join us in wishing the Drummonds every success in the mill's next chapter.

With gratitude,
Linda
