Responsible for maintaining the property, grounds, and public areas in an economical manner to ensure that Microtel Inn guests receive a clean, attractive, and secure place to stay with friendly and attentive service.

Taking immediate action to respond to positive and negative feedback given from guests
Completes on a daily basis the duties listed on grounds maintenance schedule, such as cleaning parking lots, walkways, stairways, elevators, lobbies, public restrooms, storage rooms, washes windows, empties trash cans(inside & out), cleaning dryer lint traps, cleaning washer drain, keeping laundry room clean, bottle & can returns, collects dirty linens, and stocks storage sheds.
Responds to emergency requests from management, employees or guests to solve minor maintenance and safety problems as well as supply shortage
Provides security for guests and the property by following specified key control procedures, insuring that work areas are maintained a clean, well organized manner, reporting suspicious activity by guests or others, and complying with safety and security regulations.
Assists with laundry or room cleaning when assigned by property management
Performs tasks assigned by supervisor such as fixing plumbing problems, moving cribs or rollaways, changing A/C filters, able to perform any related maintenance related projects for the successful operation of property
Locates and corrects in room heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions, and adjusting HVAC units to include systems and control checks
Has general knowledge of procedures for repairing and or replacing all types of plumbing equipment
Makes systematic checks on all guest rooms electrical appliances, circuits, being able to repair most in room defects
Handles all in house repairs with regard to removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc
Utilizes basic hand and power tools required for general maintenance
Completes preventative maintenance checklist and other maintenance records including fire/safety checklists
Maintains tools, work spaces, equipment, property exterior and grounds to assure cleanliness
Familiar with all major shut off stations, including water and electric, and with fire alarm stations
Ability to lift, push, pull a minimum of 35 pounds
Assists with snow removal and salting
Continues to grow and learn all aspects of department for personal growth.
