With deeply heavy hearts, we want to thank our Tavern family and the Blowing Rock community for giving us the time and space to grieve the heartbreaking loss of Dylan Roberts.

After taking time to mourn and be with one another, the Town Tavern family is slowly finding our way forward while carrying Dylan’s memory with us.

Dylan was so much more than a valued employee. He was a friend, a leader, and a true part of our Tavern family. His energy, kindness, work ethic, and unmistakable ability to bring laughter and life into every room left an impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He gave so much of himself to our staff, our customers, and our community, and his absence is deeply felt every day.

We continue to keep Maggie, Dylan’s family, and everyone who loved him close in our hearts as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

Near Boone, North Carolina you and your dog can hop on a tube and float the beautiful New River with “Wahoo’s Adventures” for one of the most relaxing outdoor experiences in the High Country. Operating from a six-acre outpost on the South Fork of the New River near Todd, this family-friendly adventure lets you drift through a scenic river valley surrounded by rolling mountains, green pastures, wildflowers, and some of the prettiest countryside in western North Carolina.
