Thank you to the Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce helping us celebrate 50 years on Martha’s Vineyard. With beautiful harbor views and our own private beach, Vineyard Harbor Motel – Private Beach has been welcoming guests to this special island destination since 1976.

A special shout-out to Mad Martha's Ice Cream for helping us celebrate with delicious ice cream! 🍦

A True Act of Integrity at Five Corners

This man is a Hero. In a moment that speaks volumes about his character and integrity, he spotted a misplaced vest right in the middle of the busy Five Corners intersection and immediately handed it over to a nearby police officer.

Thanks to his quick and honest actions, the Tisbury Police Department was able to safely return the vest to its rightful owner. Inside were the guest's wallet, driver’s license, credit cards, and cash—essentials that would have caused a devastating amount of stress and financial hardship to replace.

If this hero is your friend, neighbor, or family member, please be incredibly proud of him. Everyone here at the Vineyard Harbor Motel certainly is! He stepped up and saved our guest from a logistical nightmare, proving that genuine kindness and honesty are alive and well in our community.

We were gratefully granted permission to post this photo of today’s hero. We also want to extend a sincere thank you to the wonderful and dedicated Tisbury Police Officer who helped ensure a swift, happy ending to this story.

There’s something truly special about being part of the magic that Jaws created nearly 50 years ago. Seeing the island, meeting the people, and watching new stories continue to be told reminds you that this wasn’t just a movie — it became part of the soul of Martha’s Vineyard.

We’re honored that Vineyard Harbor Motel continues to be part of the real life Amity. It’s the stories, the legends, the memories, and the people that continue to keep the spirit of Amity alive all these years later. 🦈🌊
