Happy happy summer. Yes summer 2026 starts today and we’re so excited. We love the bustle the island takes on over the next 10 weeks. Music can be heard everywhere the streets are busy with people enjoying life restaurants are full and the beaches are a buzz. Life in Martha’s Vineyard changes , some say for the better some say for the worse but it’s a fun place to be at the moment. Have you booked stay with us yet? The has invited Jill Biden to the island to be part of the Martha’s Vineyard Author Series this summer. She will be discussing her latest book “A view from the west wing “ on Wednesday July 16 7pm at The Performing Arts Center in Oak Bluffs. As it happens Nobnocket is the closest hotel to the event and have 2 rooms still available for a single night. A free electric bus by passes the bottom of the road and drops you directly outside. Served breakfast daily. This was an avocado toast with sweet chili sausage but we also always have a fresh fruit with yogurt and a homemade granola too and of course a hot drink of your choosing such as coffee tea or a hot chocolate. Fresh orange juice , cranberry or V8 round out our juices. How could we not let you start your day of sight seeing, shopping or relaxing on a beach on Martha’s Vineyard without a great breakfast?

Most people think of beaches on Martha's Vineyard, which is true we have many, in fact as an island of course we are surrounded by water, however the true secret to the island is away from the water (not far) with an abundance of beautiful hikes, for all levels of fitness. These two goldfinches popped over for an award winning breakfast this morning. We welcome all creatures great and small. .
