Barclay Towers Timeshare Resort will open to owners starting May 30th, 2020. Exchange guests will be welcomed starting June 6, 2020.

This opening comes with restrictions!

1. FACE COVERINGS/MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE! This is an executive order by the Governor of Virginia.

2. There will be no midweek cleaning of units in order to reduce contact between employees & guests. Towel exchange & trash removal will be available at least 2 days during the week or as needed. Guests must not be in room for trash removal.

3. There maybe a delay in checkin due to extra cleaning.

4. There is no buffet breakfast for purchase--only a continental cold breakfast that must be ordered in advance & paid for if you are a timeshare owner & so desire. It will be bagged for you to pick up & then you must take it back to your unit to eat.

5. ALL AMENITIES ARE CLOSED!! At this time, the state will not allow us to open any amenities including pool, hot tub, exercise room, breakfast room.

6. The elevator is limited to one person/family at a time. If possible, please use the stairs.

7. The beach is open with restrictions! No tents or multiple umbrellas. No groups larger than 10 people. Face coverings/masks & social distancing of at least 6 feet. No alcoholic beverages.

8. Face coverings/masks & social distancing of at least 6 feet in all public areas of hotel, on boardwalk, on street, etc.

9. Restaurants with outdoor service can seat 50% capacity. All other restaurants are carry out or delivery.

Virginia is in Phase 1 of reopening. We are looking forward to moving into the next Phase of reopening by mid June. We will update then.

There is an update to the face mask policy. The Governor of Virginia announced that the policy of wearing face masks "anywhere people can congregate " inside will be in effect beginning Friday. May 29th. 2020. All guests over the age of 10 and employees will be required to have face coverings over the nose and mouth at all times while indoors all public areas of the Property.

Additionally, there is also a correction about the closure of the Timeshare Director's office. Mrs. Callahan will be out of the office from June 9th-June 17th, 2020. The Timeshare office will re-open again June 18th, 2020. Any Timeshare related questions should be directed to the front desk or the General Manager of Barclay Towers.

Barclay Towers Timeshare will be opening on May 30th, 2020 with restrictions. Face masks are recommended. No amenities are available ( pool and gym) and no mid-week cleaning. Other restrictions will be explained at check-in or by calling the front desk. The Timeshare Director's office is closed till June 2nd, 2020.

Some news. The Timeshare Board of Directors has extended the closure of the Timeshare units through May 22nd, 2020. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the City of Virginia Beach and the orders issued by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. RCI and Interval International are closed for trading activity through May 29th, 2020.

This is a great time to come to a quiet place with beautiful views and no crowds! We have had a mild winter and Spring is around the corner! If you need to get away from the crowds and actually enjoy the solitude of strolling on the beach or staying in and being able to cook your own meals in our full kitchen, come on down to Barclay Towers Timeshare. Barclay Towers is open for business! We are ever mindful of the precautions and advice concerning the Corona virus from the CDC and local and state health officials, and we assure you that we are doing everything possible to insure that you and your family have a safe and enjoyable stay with us.


RCI 's most recent communication to us indicated business as usual for the time being, while Interval implemented a special cancellation policy for bookings from now through April 30th. These policies, as well as those of Barclay Tower's, will change according to CDC and governmental agencies’ recommendations or mandates. A good place to go for local conditions and update for our area is WAVY News 10 (NBC network) or wavy.com.


Should you have a question about your RCI booking, please call 1-800-338-7777 and ask for customer care or go to RCI.com. For Interval International info, please go to Intervalworld.com or call 1-800-828-8200. Barclay Towers cannot process RCI or Interval cancellations, rescheduling, or refunds.


We urge Barclay Towers owners to utilize their week as businesses in Virginia Beach remain open and we can receive guests. Week substitution for those who are unable to travel is based on availability in off-season weeks and is not guaranteed.
