Lighthouse Dx'ing USLHS Passport Stamps and Amateur Radio lighting the LH program Lighthouses are a major destination for people throughout the world.

The unique settings, the beach, the birds are all a great attraction. Also for Ham Radio operators it is a mini DXpeditions to "light the Lighthouse" on the air which is a interesting side of the hobby. Both however offer a form of collectables with the regular enthusiast searching for the elusive USLHS Passport Stamp and for the Ham the unique QSL card. A great adventure looking into the past for al that participate.

Have not posted in a while but a lot is coming. Visited all the lighthouses in New Jersey and the Delaware Bay over the last few weeks, pictures coming soon. Also saw the lighthouses in the upper Chesapeake Bay and all of Rhoad Island so many things to post. Just completed Book 4 of the USLH Society Passport Program. Into 5 now. the New Cape Henry Lighthouse has a First Order Fresnel Lens? Developed by French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel, his invention of the Fresnel Lens is said to have "saved a million ships." The First Order Fresnel Lens in the new lighthouse stands 12 feet tall and shines the letter "U" in Morse Code every 20 seconds.
