EXCITING CHANGES AT THE RED LIGHT UNION BUILDING — SAME LOCAL OWNERSHIP, NEW EXPERIENCES!
There’s been a lot of activity and excitement surrounding the Red Light Union Building, and with several new businesses and concepts being announced, we thought it was a great time to share what’s happening under our historic roof!
First, to answer a question we’ve received from several people recently: there has been no change in ownership of the Red Light Union Building.
The property continues to be owned by SX VC LLC and managed by Tom and Deborah Hayward.
The Red Light Union is a multi-tenant business building that has grown into a unique Virginia City destination — bringing together independent local businesses, food, drinks, desserts, experiences, private events and overnight accommodations, all under one roof.
Each of our tenants operates their own unique business, while the Hayward’s continue to manage the building, common areas, private event spaces and Julia’s Crib.
WELCOME COMSTOCK STEAM CO.
Our newest tenant, Comstock Steam Co., will be opening two spaces within the Red Light Union Building, including the café and front bar space.
The café will offer hearty comfort-food favorites including mac & cheese bowls, chili, pulled pork, seasonal soups and sandwiches, along with specialty coffees, drinks and desserts.
Comstock Steam Co. is also bringing plenty of creativity and enthusiasm to the building, with plans for themed experiences and special events that embrace Virginia City’s history and legendary paranormal side.
WELCOME DESSERT TIME!
Also joining the Red Light Union family is Dessert Time, bringing fresh crepes, mini pancakes, strawberries & cream, overnight oats, aguas frescas, and plenty of toppings and drizzles.
We’re excited to add another fun, family-friendly food option right in the heart of C Street!
LOST SEOUL SALOON — A RED LIGHT UNION FAVORITE
Lost Seoul Saloon continues serving the favorites locals and visitors have come to love.
Drop in for Potstickers, Classic Burgers, Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowls, savory Bang-Bang Fries and more. Grab a drink, enjoy a meal, or order ahead online.
THE RED LIGHT UNION SPEAKEASY & EVENT CENTER
Our historic Speakeasy and Event Center remain independently operated and managed by the Hayward’s and are available for private bookings throughout the year.
From weddings and milestone birthdays to holiday parties, corporate gatherings, private dinners and community events, these unique historic spaces offer an unforgettable Virginia City setting.
We also look forward to collaborating with our building tenants and other local businesses on special events, catering and unique experiences within these spaces.
STAY AT JULIA’S CRIB
Want to make a weekend of it? Julia’s Crib is our two-bedroom short-term rental apartment located on the lower level of the Red Light Union Building. Stay right in the heart of historic Virginia City, or pair your accommodations with select private events.
