Important Notice: We enforce city ordinance policies regarding cannabis as well as reserve the right to create our own policies to ensure all guests have a comfortable stay.
As you may have heard, ma*****na became legal in Minnesota on August 1st. However, there are a few things you may not have heard.
City Code prohibits smoking of to***co or ma*****na at schools, playgrounds, recreation centers, and parks. All City owned buildings are smoke free, as per the MN Clean Indoor Air Act.
Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act also states that smoking (of any kind) is prohibited in virtually all indoor public places and indoor places of employment, including:
- Bars, restaurants, and private clubs
- Office and industrial workspaces
- Retail stores
- Common areas of rental apartment buildings, hotels and motels
- Public transportation, including taxis
- Work vehicles, if more than one person is present
- Home offices with more than one on-site employees, or used as a place to meet or deal with customers—during work hours
- Public and private schools, educational facilities
- Auditoriums, arenas, meeting rooms
- Day care premises
- Health care facilities and clinics
Businesses may post signage that states that smoking of any kind is not allowed in or near their business entrances.
You cannot operate a boat, ATV or vehicle if you are under the influence of ma*****na. Don’t forget, driving high is a DWI.
