Stop by our office during your stay to learn more about this San Antonio attraction.
The Mission Reach portion of the Riverwalk is an 8 mile linear park that boasts 16+ miles of trails for biking, running, canoeing and kayaking. But that's not all, it's also home to larger-than-life public art installations and a gateway to explore San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.

If you can drive across Texas and pronounce every town name correctly on the first try… you don’t need GPS, you need local status. 🤠
You start in Buda, which looks simple enough. You confidently say “Boo-duh”… and immediately someone at the gas station says, “Nope. It’s BYOO-duh.”
Confidence? Already shaky.
Then you roll into Boerne. Looks like “Born,” right?
Wrong. It’s BUR-nee.
Silent letters? Of course. This is Texas now.
Next comes Manchaca. You read it slowly… “Man-cha-ka.”
Nope. Locals casually say MAN-shack like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
You pretend you knew that.
Then Refugio shows up just to keep you humble. You try Reh-foo-gee-oh…
Close, but not quite.
Someone nearby just smiles and says Reh-FURY-oh and you quietly accept defeat.
You hit Seguin next and think you’ve learned your lesson. You carefully say “Se-gwin.”
Wrong again.
It’s Suh-GEEN.
At this point, you just nod and keep driving.
Then comes Guadalupe. You slow down, take your time…
“Gwa-da-loop?”
Close enough… but you still feel judged by a passing pickup truck.
Next is Mexia — and now you don’t even try.
You say Meh-see-uh…
Someone corrects you: Muh-HAY-uh.
You don’t argue. You just keep moving.
By now, you’ve accepted your fate. Texas isn’t trying to help you… it’s testing you.
Welcome to Texas.
Where the roads are long, the trucks are bigger, and the town names will humble you for no reason at all.
If you can say them all right on the first try…
you’re not visiting —
you’ve been here your whole life. ⭐🚗

If San Antonio has clear skies on the 21st and 22nd of April, it will be prime time to watch the Lyrid Meteors. You can see 10 to 30 per hour looking to the east/northeast sky. Hidden Valley RV Park still has a few available sites. Our country location affords much better sky views than those in nearby San Antonio.
