10 minutes to skiing at Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, as well as to two cross-country ski areas. Maintained mountain biking, snowshoeing, and hiking trails. Swimming pond and firepits on property. Large rooms with European featherbeds, sitting areas, en suite bathrooms. Stand-alone cottage and two-bedroom suites available. You’ll definitely want to try this at home. Char some slightly underripe plums in butter, crumble goat cheese over your plums, drizzle with olive oil, and crack a bit of black pepper over it all. And if you can get your hands on (or make your own, I suppose) boiled c***r, drizzle some of that on as well. If you’re lucky enough to be in Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce you can get some of Hadley’s boiled c***r at Ga***rd Farm or at the Waitsfield Farmers Market

Things are really moving along on our barn. Today French drains went in (yes, that should have happened ages ago) and footings for the deck. The end is in sight!
