Its all about location, and we have the best. Our seasonal campers are absolutely the finest neighbors you could ever want, and many lifelong friendships began here. We are proud to share the land that has been in our family for about 300 years with our second family, the campers who come here year after year.

This beautiful weather not helping our cause, but I am getting 30-40 "subtle" requests for people to start coming in and cleaning up, hanging out, "stopping to say hi" and wanting to "take a quick drive" to their site. We have less than three weeks to get everything ready, our wiring and plumbing done, and "wake up" the bathhouses. Let us all get vaccinated, let the trailers being delivered block all the roads, Let us get that limb or tree down, and I promise that on May 1, you can come in! Until then, you may walk in, if we see your car down front, we know someone is up there. If your call, text, PM, DM, IM, email, etc goes unanswered, we are VERY busy.

Thank You for the cards and nice notes you sent along for Christmas. This is the weekend that usually has Melissa and I trying to choreograph a Christmas Card montage or scene with a lit tree on the beach. The message we want to send is always the same, Peace, Tranquility, Caring. This year more than any other, we were grateful just to SEE you. To laugh. To forget about Covid, or politics, or anxiety. This year, maybe more than reindeers and sleighs, you could use a simple reminder of what we all share at the time of year when we are together, here. This won’t change. Hope it warms you!

And here we go once again with our nearby neighbors in Mass, CT and NY now stating that R.I. is an unsafe travel destination, and If you come here, you must quarantine when you return to your respective state. Okay... RI developed 50 new cases today. Out of 2 million people presently here. You can assess your own risk tolerance. Know this, RI is a safe destination, and WPFC is a safer one. You know the rules to STAY safe, and practice them here or abroad. You cannot share baths here, or any other space you choose NOT to share. No one has gotten sick here since we opened, and if we continue our good practices, no one will. I am just printing a clear reminder that you are WELCOME here. Mark

Well we are relatively spared in this oddly-named storm. A few branches, never even lost power. Grateful!
