Best wishes to the new owners.

Wet & Chilly weather has slowed down the fall clean up, so I moved indoors and into the train room. Added a few new businesses and a cute little lunch stand to an area that will be somewhat behind the new bridge.
Working on the new and final bridge. Hope to start installing it on the layout and doing the roads and landscaping around it Shot of it on the work bench almost done. The gaps are where the roads will be and the openings between the bents adjusted to fit.

Summer outside work has slowed the model railroad work some. Finishing up some small scenes and the new aged barn used as a birthing barn for cows. Also the milk deliveries with cans and bulk service. Last is a shot of a couple hitting some hard times.

Well, the wooden trestle bridge is completed and in place. As you can see the big 12 wheeler is crossing the bridge pulling a string of freight cars.
Over 250 cross timbers were needed to tie all the bents together. Was a fun pragect and quite a learning experience, having never bullt one before. Enjoy

The bridge build continues. Built 4 bents & braces and did a test fit on the layout. Found out I forgot one thing. The bridge is on a 2% grade. The bents were built plumb to a flat surface, so they were at an angle on the layout. Tore it apart and rebuilt plumb on a 2% grade. Pictures of the old work (4 Bents) and of the new bridge with 5 bents built. Letting it totally dry for a day and then will test fit it to the location on the layout. Rest of the bents need to be fit over the ridge and tunnel.
