Abeja Winery and Inn

Abeja Winery and Inn A meticulously restored Walla Walla farmstead provides the setting for crafting world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, upscale lodging, dining, and private events.
(398)

Abeja is a beautifully restored, century-old farmstead set in the foothills of the Blue Mountains eight minutes from downtown Walla Walla. Surrounded by 38-acres of creeks, gardens, and vineyards, the estate is home to the award-winning Abeja winery and tasting room (open by appointment), upscale lodging, fine dining, and private events. Acclaimed winemakers Dan Wampfler and Amy Alvarez-Wampfler c

raft Walla Walla wines from the estate’s Heather Hill and Mill Creek Vineyards as well as Columbia Valley Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and a Washington State Chardonnay. Abeja List members enjoy full access to the winery’s estate, reserve, and Beekeeper’s collections. Adjacent to the winery is The Inn at Abeja, providing year-round lodging for those seeking a restorative, one-of-a-kind wine country experience. The property’s original outbuildings have been meticulously restored to welcome overnight guests with a unique mix of private cottages, rooms, and suites. With an emphasis on impeccable hospitality, Abeja invites guests to marvel at the property’s rich history while enjoying modern comforts and world-class wines that define an unforgettable wine country retreat. Overnight stays include a 2-course country breakfast. The name Abeja (pronounced “ah-BAY-ha”) is Spanish for a bee. It was chosen to honor deep-rooted respect for the environment and as a reminder of the importance of working together in a community.

Walla Walla met Thailand at our anniversary table.

Michelin-starred Chef Andy Ricker, best known for his acclaimed Pok Pok restaurants, traveled from Thailand to create an unforgettable feast for our 25th-anniversary celebration on Saturday night. The authenticity of his cooking and his vibrant expression of Thai flavors made the evening one we will long remember.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped bring this unforgettable experience to life, especially Thaan Charcoal. And to the friends and supporters who joined us in raising a glass to 25 years of Abeja, we’re deeply grateful to have you as part of our story—and excited for all that lies ahead.

Friday evening, we raised a glass to 25 years.

La Fête du Vin brought friends together from across the decades to revisit iconic wines, share stories, and celebrate the journey that's shaped Abeja. Rare cellar selections included a remarkable vertical of Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon dating back to 2001. While Pearl Django Trio filled the lawn with French jazz, old vintages inspired new memories.

To everyone who came out to celebrate with us, thank you.

Tomorrow: highlights from our anniversary dinner with Chef Andy Ricker.

As Abeja marks 25 years, we’re reflecting on the stories rooted here long before the property became a winery and inn.

David and Catherine Kibler built the Farmhouse in 1905. Today, this remarkable home remains a defining presence at The Inn at Abeja, welcoming guests who come to gather, reconnect, and make memories with family and friends.
