Our family wants to shout out all the firefighting heroes!! Our house backs to the forest so we left last night when the flames came over the ridge in our backyard. We were incredibly thankful when we woke up this morning to an intact home and just a few smoldering spots and credit those that worked through the night to protect Wardensville residents and their homes. THANK YOU!! ❤️

Our motel mascots are Max the dog and Kandy the horse. The hikers and hunters who stay with us RAVE about Lynetta’s expertise on the trails in the area (it’s unparalleled, honestly).
Her knowledge comes from all the hours she spends with Kandy. Kandy wants some recognition for her contribution. 😉
