Today is National Native American Heritage Day- a civil holiday observed on the day after Thanksgiving in the United States.

As Cahuilla & Cupeño people, Los Coyotes continue to steward our ancestral homelands. Reflecting on healthy food and tradition, we are highlighting qáxal / kaxal - the quail.

For a chance to see qáxal / kaxal in person, consider hiking or camping at Los Coyotes. You can book in advance at our website: https://www.loscoyotestribe.org/
