Good morning! We’re getting ready to add something new to the shop… ☕️

We’re working on a mug featuring a sketch of our beautiful Victorian inn, but before we place an order, we’d love to know what you’d be most interested in!

Let us know:
• Do you prefer an 11 oz or 15 oz mug?
• Would you rather have a classic white mug, or something with a colored handle/interior?
• If you’ve stayed with us before (or hope to someday), is this something you’d be interested in purchasing?

🎃👻 SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES… 👻🎃

I’ve been scheming up something spooky for our community this Halloween, & want to see if there’s interest before I start making the cauldron overflow. 🖤

We’re dreaming up a free community Halloween gathering!

Think:
🕷️ Trunk-or-treating
🎨 Halloween-themed kids craft
👻 Face painting
🔮 Tarot / astrology readings
🍪 Spooky themed baked goods & treats
🧙‍♀️ Local makers, artists & small businesses
🎃 Costumes encouraged obviously
✨ And whatever other wonderfully witchy, weird, & Halloween-y things we can come up with!

The idea is that there would be no admission fee and trunk-or-treating + the kids craft would be free. Some activities like treats, readings, & vendor offerings may have their own costs.

Most importantly, I’d LOVE for this to feel like a fun & open community gathering—not a giant commercial event. A place for families to come hang out, get some candy, local people to share what they do & celebrate our favorite holiday with you!

🖤 And this is where YOU come in.

I’m looking for local businesses, makers, artists, crafters, food/drink vendors, spooky enthusiasts, and especially folks who would like to decorate a vehicle and participate in our FREE trunk-or-treat!

Summer Brain™️

If you’ve noticed we’ve been a little… social media absent lately, no you didn’t. 😂

Summer has been doing what it does best— keeping us busy, kids being kids, B&B things happening, approximately 47 things on the mental to-do list at all times, and me occasionally remembering that I should probably post something.

So we embraced a little “touch grass, survive summer, post when I remember” energy. 🌿☀️ (which honestly shouldn’t we all?!)

BUT 👀 I have been quietly working on some fun ideas for fall…

✨ And a few other adventures currently living rent-free in my brain

For now, we’re going to enjoy the last bit of summer, attempt to keep everyone alive, and pretend we know what day of the week it is. 😂

🎨 Paint in the Garden 🌿

Join us on Thursday, July 9th from 5–7 PM for a relaxing evening of painting, gardens, and homemade treats.

Local artist Painting with Patrice will guide participants step-by-step through creating the featured painting in a fun, beginner-friendly class held outdoors on the grounds of our Victorian inn.
No experience is necessary—all skill levels are welcome!

Your registration includes:
🖌️ All painting supplies
🎨 Guided instruction from Painting With Patrice
🫐 Homemade dessert from our kitchen
🌸 An evening spent painting among the gardens

Whether you come with a friend or on your own, this is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative, and enjoy a summer evening in a beautiful setting.

Introducing: Liam! A 13-year-old Adirondack kid looking to earn some summer money and work toward a few goals he’s saving up for.☀️

He’ll be offering affordable neighborhood lawn mowing starting at $20 for small lawns, with pricing depending on yard size and grass height. Right now he’s focusing on small-medium yards and simple mowing only (no trimming or edging at this time).

He has his own mower, and a parent will always be nearby to help supervise.

Availability will be limited around summer camp because we still want him to have time to enjoy being 13 😊 But he’s excited to work hard, learn responsibility, and help out around the community!

🌿 May at the house 🌿

May is going to look a little different for us this month — we’ll be taking a big trip for part of it ✨

Because of that, instead of our usual pop-up café days, we’ll be hosting one cozy, all-in-one craft day when we’re back!

Think:
☕ coffee & tea
🥐 baked goods
🧶 coloring, fiber arts, and slow making
🌿 a relaxed, come-as-you-are kind of day

If you’ve been wanting to stop by, this will be a really nice one to join.
