Douglas County Trail Report 2/26/26
***Please keep in mind that our staff can't respond to questions or comments on our page. For questions or comments, please contact the Douglas County Forestry Department at 715-378-2219.
The county received a couple more inches of fresh snow across the county since last week. The trail conditions vary widely across the county with some areas still reporting great conditions while others reporting exposed ground with no snow cover. It seems the trail in the north half of the county are in better shape (as far as snow cover) then the southern trails. Be cautious of icy corners and trail sections. There are several active logging operations in the county. Please refer to the map and look for signs on the trial.
Please reference the County Map for the open and closed trails.
Make sure you check with neighboring counties and states before you ride to make sure trails are open.
Douglas County Forestry does not maintain any trails across lakes. If you would like information of specific trails please contact the Snowmobile club in that area.
It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to utilize their property. Please Stay On The Trails.
Please share this info with anyone that you believe would be interested…our goal is to inform as many trail riders as possible.
Please check with neighboring counties to ensure the trails are open before you ride!
I have attached a trail map which outlines the Open trails.
