Dear Friends! 10 years ago today we hosted our first Art Soiree🥂🍾 it was a very innovative way of showcasing art, connecting audience to artists and activating places with incredible cultural programming... but we were always dreaming to have our own home for the arts, a space where we can have no limits on what we can create and produce. Motion sensors detected the movements of the human body as visitors navigated through the darkened underground space, becoming performers in this intersection of art, technology and nature.

Here’s a look back when we showcased the cherry-blossom inspired photography art by adults with autism at CSAAC in our ART CAN MAKE A CHANGE series. Artist feature: We’ve had the pleasure of showcasing the work of renowned political cartoonist Kevin “KAL” Kallaugher Kevin Kallaugher of the The Baltimore Sun and The Economist at our political cartoon exhibits. On Friday, we’ll spend the day at Creative Hands at 52 O Street Studios taking portraits of him, emerging local artists, and other amazing artists we’ve worked with. Let us know if you’d like to stop by and meet some artists IRL. Kallaugher has won many awards for his work; most recently, the 2015 Herblock Prize for editorial cartooning.
