Happy National Pet Day from some hotel dogs! Pet-friendly offerings are no longer a niche amenity, they're a core driver of guest decision-making. 🐾

Pet-friendly offerings continue to be one of the fastest growing selling points in hospitality, with the US pet industry now representing approximately $157 billion in annual spending.

Many of our members have taken this a step further, welcoming a resident four-legged staff member to greet guests, boost morale, and make every stay memorable.

The talent, leadership, and influence these women bring move our mission forward, and we thank them for their dedication and the impact they make across our workplace, community and the hotel industry.

In celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, AHLA's internal Culture Committee came together to create meaningful moments of impact both within our organization and across our community.

We continued our Culture & Awareness Series with a visit to the National Museum of Women in the Arts, where our team reflected on the powerful contributions of women throughout history and across cultures.

We also partnered with SOME (So Others Might Eat) for a hands-on volunteer session, assembling hygiene kits to support individuals experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C. The kits included feminine hygiene products to better meet the needs of women in our community.

These experiences serve as a reminder that culture and community go hand in hand, creating space to learn, while also taking action to uplift others.
