Camp Good News Illinois Camp Good News is a place where Jesus Christ transforms lives through Biblical Teaching, Meaningful Relationships, and Outdoor Adventures.

Since 1955, Camp Good News® has ministered to children from across Illinois in fun and exciting ways. Thousands of kids have heard the good news of Jesus Christ and have been encouraged to grow in their relationship to God. Children without a home church are encouraged to find one through our partnership with local Bible-believing churches. God uses this ministry in marvelous ways! In recent years

, the ministry has grown from primarily a summer camp to a year round ministry. In addition to 8 weeks of camp, we host an archery club, father-son retreats, and Awana (in partnership with Bethany Community Church). Today's children more than ever need the life transforming power of the Gospel. Explore Camp: Big Adventures for Our Younger Campers! 💛

This summer, Camp Good News introduced something new—Explore Camp, a special two-day camp created just for our younger campers, ages 5–10! With a shorter schedule and a smaller group, Explore Camp gave children a great opportunity to experience camp at a pace designed especially for them.

These childhood years are filled with curiosity, energy, discovery, and an eagerness to learn. During their two days at Camp Good News, our Explore campers made new friends, tried new things, enjoyed plenty of camp adventures, and—most importantly—learned about God, His Word, and His great love for them.

The smaller camp setting also gave our staff wonderful opportunities to get to know the children, encourage friendships, and build meaningful connections as they played, learned, and explored together.

We’re thankful for every child the Lord brought to Explore Camp and for the privilege of investing in them during this important season of life—creating meaningful experiences, nurturing spiritual community, and pointing young hearts to Jesus. 🌲☀️

We love pre-teens! 💛

The pre-teen years are filled with growth, questions, new friendships, and growing independence—and we love having the opportunity to walk alongside young people during this important season of life.

At Camp Good News, pre-teens can be themselves, build meaningful relationships, try new things, have a whole lot of fun, and—most importantly—grow in their understanding of God and His Word.

We’re thankful for every pre-teen the Lord brings to camp and for the opportunity to encourage them, invest in them, and point them to Christ. 🌲☀️

🌲🔥 TEEN Week kicked off with excitement and wrapped up with a meaningful campfire under the stars. Along the way, campers experienced God’s love through uplifting chapel worship, lively Bible studies, refreshing time in the pool, and adventures in the woods. More importantly, hearts were touched and lives were changed.
