While you're staying at River's Rest if you're ready to bundle up for a Gorge trek but, want to avoid crowded trailheads and overly cozy trail experiences, check out these less famous hikes that offer plenty of scenery and austere appeal during the winter months.

Friends' staff recommends ten less-crowded trails for bundling up and enjoying the Gorge in the colder months of the year.

I wanted to let you know that River's Rest will not be able to have guests at the Fairy Haven Glamping Site anymore. Skamania County does not allow tents as a short term rental. However, we do have the apartment and you will have access to the glamp-site for day-use when an event is not scheduled during that time..

Kayakers and Steelhead anglers will love the easy launch and private river access. The Columbia River Gorge is a hiker’s paradise, with numerous trails for various fitness levels. Some of the better-known trails that lead to outstanding views include: Beacon Rock, Dog Mountain, Hamilton Mountain, the Pacific Crest Trail, and Cape Horn Trail Loop.
