Can’t believe it’s summer. We were over a week late getting into the cabin. Was there 9 days and it rained every day but one and we had snow 4 days. On the plus side— NO MOSQUITOES!!! We have a new satellite communicator, ZOLEO. Everyone should be able to contact us now. Just download the free Zoleo app. You do not have to enroll in a plan. We can receive text at +1-361-479-4182 and email at [email protected]. Hope to hear from you soon. Happy summer!

Good morning Friends. Well, normally we would be at the camp but we’re not! 😟. The Denali Highway is cleared and drivable but, according to DOT, we need a dozer to clear our drive of snow. Had a hunter snow machine by our place a few months back and sent us pictures of the camp. The shed was completely under snow and the cabin was three quarters covered in snow. We are keeping our fingers crossed the road doesn’t get washed out before we get to go in. Should anyone drive the Denali this week, will you please send us pictures of the drive, especially by the culverts (that’s usually where the road washes out). Thanks in advance.

I also want to remember those who gave the ultimate for our country. Without their sacrifice America 🇺🇸 would not be the great nation it is. I salute you. God bless America and May we NEVER forget those who gave their lives so we might live ours. Thank you

Hello Friends. Hope 2022 has been good for you so far. For us, the weather has been full of havoc but spring is in the air! John and I have been doing a little traveling and enjoying warm sunny weather down south but are looking forward to going to the camp in a couple of months. So peaceful without internet, phones, TV —- we’re in our own fantasy world 😊. We look forward to seeing everyone again. You all make our day!

Family came to help close the camp. Between packing boxes and loading in the trailer, they managed to do the trail to spot since the season was closed. Saw permafrost, more bear tracks, picked blueberries and cranberries and just enjoyed the peace of the outdoors. Little Emelia was in training to be an office girl! Thanks family for all your help. Love you to the moon and back

The 2021 hunting season is over. It was a very short season since over 7,000 hunters were limited to 700 subsistence animals. The season was over in less than a week. But people were successful. Our camp pulled over 50 the first 2 days. Weather was cooperative, trails passable, and our “hunting family” caught up with the yearly news from each other. I just love our repeating customers. And I want to say a big THANK YOU to our hunting families who share their home grown produce with us. They know after 4 months of frozen and can goods we are ready for fresh anything. 😂. And thank you Dee for the homemade apple pie. It was delicious. Unfortunately I don’t have may pictures but here are a few. Some are harvested animals and others are the beautiful scenery out on the trails. Thank y’all for coming and we hope to see you next year. Love all of you. Stay safe and have a wonderful holiday season.

Though 2020 Hunting season is over at Moore’s Hunting Camp, at stay at Moore’s is not just about bringing in the meat. It’s enjoying the trails, mud bogging, paddle boat, fishing, canoeing, sitting around the camp fire with friends, berry picking, and finding all kinds of questionable things. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2021. Love all of you and thank you for being the good people you are 🥰
