Some of the best times we have are sitting with our guests at breakfast, and the various conversations.

This morning was an hour long conversation about the Aztelan mounds (which they visited yesterday) , the Cahokia mounds, Stonehenge and whether we would live in Coober Pedy in Australia.

What a crazy month! July is always our busiest month, and this year was no exception! Guests from all over the country, and a few from other countries as well. We welcomed new friends, caught up with regular guests and had longtime friends here. We celebrated anniversaries with guests, learned about all different occupations and hobbies, and made more deep connections.

We truly love what we do, and are always excited to meet new friends. We love to promote the local restaurants and shops here in town as well. Being an innkeeper is hard work, but so rewarding when guests say "Your home feels more like home than our own"

People often ask us, "What's your favorite thing about being innkeepers?" Our answer is always the same: "That's easy—the guests!"
Over the past eight years, we've welcomed guests for more than 2,000 room nights and have had the pleasure of meeting people from all over the world. Every guest brings a unique perspective, a different story, and their own personality, making each stay memorable in its own way.
One of our favorite parts of being innkeepers is the time we spend with our guests over breakfast. Those conversations give us the chance to get to know incredible people, hear about their adventures, and share a few stories of our own. It's these connections that make what we do so rewarding.

"Do the rooms have private bathrooms?"
It's a great question! Years ago, many bed and breakfasts featured shared bathrooms for guests. Thankfully, times have changed.
Every one of our guest suites includes a private en-suite bathroom, so you'll never have to wander down the hallway wondering which door is the bathroom. Your space is completely your own, offering the privacy and comfort you expect.
