Our Watertown, Wisconsin dinner recommendations sometimes depend on what night you check in.

🥩 Wednesday: steak night at Bigg’s Bar. Yes, it’s a bar, but we’ve had better steaks there than at most expensive steakhouses.

🍝 Thursday: Italian night at Amado’s Jr.. It’s a wonderful local restaurant with fresh food and great margaritas.

🐟 Friday: You are in Wisconsin! It's Fish Fry Night everywhere! Our favorite might be Golden Spoon's fish fry dinner.

And we will always recommend to save room for dessert! Mullens Dairy Bar is a hometown favorite for their ice cream!

Ask five people what the perfect fall day in Watertown looks like and you'll get five different answers. Ours starts a block and a half from our front door.

Coffee first, then a slow wander through downtown. No parking to worry about, just window shop, the bookstore, maybe a stop for ice cream before it's technically ice cream weather again.

From there it depends on your mood. Want to move? The river walk, our biking trails once the leaves turn, or a round of disc golf.

Want to slow it down? A game at the bowling alley, or our personal favorite: parking yourself at the library with a book and doing absolutely nothing else.

That's the thing about a good fall day here. There's plenty to fill it, and just as much permission to fill it with nothing at all.

One of our favorite parts when a group books the whole bed and breakfast is setting one big table and serving family style.

Platters get passed, coffee gets refilled, and somehow two hours go by without anyone checking their phone.

Every guest who sits at our table tells us a story, and every one teaches us something. We never get tired of it.

🛏️ We don't wander in to fluff pillows while you're out exploring. This space is yours

It's less "hotel room" and more "the guest room at your friend's place who happens to be a really, really good host."

Nine years of innkeeping, hundreds of guests, and this is still the story that gets us every single time.

We've had a lot of amazing moments here: reunions, proposals, celebrations, and anniversaries. But watching two sisters meet for the very first time — right here, in our foyer — is the one we come back to.

That's the thing about running a B&B out of your own home. You don't just hand someone a key and walk away. You're there for it.
