Letter From The GM: Gondola & Green Peak Expansion Public Info Meeting Update
As General Manager of Waterville Valley Resort, I’m excited to share an important update on the proposed Gondola & Green Peak Expansion Project.
The U.S. Forest Service has officially released the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), marking a major milestone in the project review process. The DEIS provides a detailed look at the proposed expansion, environmental analysis, alternatives considered, and the many technical studies completed to date.
While this is an exciting step forward, it’s important to note that the DEIS is not a final decision. Rather, it opens the next phase of the process by providing an opportunity for public review and feedback.
We know there’s a great deal of interest in the future of this project, and we want to make it as easy as possible for our community to learn more. To help answer questions and provide additional context, we’ll be hosting a Public Information Meeting on Friday, June 26 at 7:00 PM at the Waterville Valley Conference Center.
Members of our resort team and project partners will be on hand to walk through key elements of the DEIS, discuss the proposed expansion, and answer questions about the project and review process.
We encourage everyone with an interest in the future of Waterville Valley Resort to attend, learn more, and participate in the public comment process.
Thank you for your continued interest, support, and engagement. We look forward to seeing you on June 26.
Sincerely,
Tim Smith
