We love seeing and hearing about bears in our area and we also love Neil Young collectively as a family!

“Cinnamon Bear” Sighting in Finger Lakes: A rare “Cinnamon Bear” sighting occurred recently in the Finger Lakes not far from Montour Falls, NY. This is a screenshot from a trail cam from one of my followers, Jeff T., he provided it to me. These are lighter colored bears not often found in this area of New York State. This is a reminder that bear sightings DO occur across New York State and especially this time of year. Do not disturb the cubs and everything should be fine. If you see black bears in your travels and they’re approaching you, jingle your car keys and they’ll walk away. I deployed this tactic a few years ago at Letchworth State Park and it worked beautifully. The moment also provided one of the greatest thrills in nature I’ve ever had.
